Editorial policies
Research Ethics, Human and Animal Rights policy
All research published in London Paediatrics must adhere to international and local guidelines for research ethics.
All research studies on humans (individuals, samples, or data) must be in line with principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval must have been obtained from local institutional review board (IRB) or other appropriate ethics committee. All manuscripts must contain a statement to confirm this ethical approval.
All research studies involving animals must have been carried out following approval from the relevant institutional ethics committee or the institutional animal use and care committee. All must contain a statement to confirm this ethical approval.
Consent
Informed consent must be obtained from study participants, without coercion, to include full information including benefits and risks of participating in the study. Description of consent procedures should be outlined in the manuscript. Case reports or articles that contain personal medical information about an identifiable living individual require an additional individual Patient/parent consent form to be completed.
Conflict of interest
Authors have a duty to report any conflicts of interest in the Author declaration form.
A full declaration of funding and all sources of financial support involved with the research reported in the article is also required.
Corrections and retractions
Significant changes are not allowed to manuscripts after acceptance for publication. If errors of fact are detected after publication, authors should inform the editorial team via the Contact page of the website. Any corrections and retractions will be subject to editorial approval.
